Please read this entire policy before attending TwitchCon San Diego. Failure to follow this policy may result in denial of entry or your removal from the event without refund. Your entry is subject to the terms and conditions of the venue.
Airspace Objects
Devices may not be flown, tethered, or floated within or on the premises of the San Diego Convention Center or any other official TwitchCon event venue or hotel. This prohibits the use of:
Animals and Pets
If you have pets, including iguanas, parrots, boa constrictors, or other nonhuman critters, please leave them at home. We know you love your companion, but for safety reasons, only certified service animals are allowed at the San Diego Convention Center. Service animals do not include emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs and these animals will not be allowed at the event. Badges
Always wear your badge in a visible place! Security may ask you to show your badge together with your picture identification, so please be prepared to do so. You’ll need your badge to attend any TwitchCon event, including all events at the San Diego Convention Center and any other official TwitchCon events at other venues.
Badges are non-transferable and are tied to your Twitch account. Please do not give your badge to anyone (including your friends or family). Lost or stolen badges will not be replaced. If your badge is lost or stolen, a new badge will need to be purchased at full price at badge pick-up.
Bags
Backpacks are prohibited. Small bags are permitted but must have dimensions no larger than 12”x12”x6”. Please note that all bags will be subject to security screening and a secondary screening process will take place if a bag triggers an alarm.
Please leave backpacks, luggage, large bags, and bulky clothing at your hotel or home. Backpacks purchased at the event are not eligible for re-entry (including Twitch-branded backpacks). There will be a bag check on-site but space will be limited. We encourage all attendees to use a small fanny pack or clear bag smaller than the above dimensions to expedite entry.
Affiliates and Partners only: IRL streaming backpacks are allowed and will also be subject to security screening and a secondary screening. These backpacks will be tagged once they’ve cleared the screening process, and the tag must remain on the backpack at all times while inside the venue (San Diego Convention Center). Security Screening will take place at all entrances to TwitchCon. The Partner Lounge, Partner Party and Offline Zone are no streaming areas.
Masks
All TwitchCon attendees, exhibitors, and staff are required to wear an approved face covering in all indoor spaces at TwitchCon, regardless of vaccination status. Face coverings should completely cover the nose and mouth, fit snugly against the sides of the face, and not have any gaps. Face coverings that are not able to be secured under your chin (bandanas and scarves), neck gaiters, mesh face coverings, face coverings that have exhalation valves or damaged / torn face coverings are not permitted. For security purposes, full-face masks (cosplay or costume masks) and full-face paint are not permitted. Note that this policy may change depending on the rules and requirements at the time of the event.

Please see below for the list of items not permitted on the premises of the San Diego Convention Center or any other official TwitchCon event venue or hotel.
Any attendee found to have violated the prohibited items list will be removed from TwitchCon San Diego.
Permitted Items at TwitchCon San Diego
Simulated or costume weapons are allowed as a part of your costume, subject to prior approval by security. Prop weapons will be allowed providing they are composed of cardboard, foam, wood or other light materials and receive approval by security and comply with the following:

Recreational Vehicles
For safety reasons, segways, scooters, skateboards, hoverboards, bicycles, and similar recreational vehicles/methods of transportation are not allowed on the San Diego Convention Center grounds, including inside the building.
Sitting Areas
Need to stop and rest? Please be aware of where you take a seat. By order of the fire marshal, sitting in aisles and laneways is not allowed. Lounges are located throughout the San Diego Convention Center.
Smoking and Drug Use
The San Diego Convention Center is a non-smoking facility. By state law, and in the interest of public health, the Convention Center has adopted a non-smoking policy. There are designated areas outside the building where smoking and vaping are permitted. No smoking at TwitchCon includes traditional cigarettes, pipes, cigars, or e-cigarettes and any vaping product or device. You are welcome to step outside to smoke in designated smoking areas only, but please be considerate of others when you do.
The use of illicit drugs or substances is prohibited on the premises and is in violation of Twitch’s Event Code of Conduct and Releases.
No retail sales are allowed anywhere at TwitchCon San Diego unless you purchased or were allocated exhibit space by Twitch. This includes on or near the San Diego Convention Center grounds (e.g., the entrance, parking lot, Exhibit Hall, common areas such as lobbies, panel rooms, as well as other events or locations related to TwitchCon, such as the Partner Party or TwitchCon designated hotels. Retail sales are strictly limited to the exhibitors in the TwitchCon San Diego Exhibit Halls and Artist Alley.
